Client’s Challenging Situation:

A family business was taking steps toward succession planning and business growth. They wanted to hold a special, invigorating strategic planning session.

Scope of the Problem:

This situation was more about opportunity than problem. [That’s the way I saw it.] The family faced an opportunity to energize its family members and its staff.

Our Solution:

To initiate the family business annual strategic planning sessions, we recommended a customized talents & strengths workshop. We created a special workshop, customized for non-family and family members. The family members included: mother, father, sister, and brother.

The Value Delivered:

The workshop had a terrific atmosphere. The upbeat culture of the family business meshed well with the business-like culture…a wonderful mix of pleasing personalities and disciplined work process.

The family members enjoyed the opportunity to talk about one another’s talents and strengths.

The non-family people enjoyed the chance to ‘personally connect’ with the family members, in a strengths-based leadership strategic session. The workshop paved the path for highly successful strategic planning decisions.
