Habits have a special relationship with Time.
Understand this relationship.
It is a key to success and peace of mind.
Habits have a special relationship with Time.
Time Scarcity is an Illusion.
Many people complain about not having enough time. That complaint is a Bad-Habit symptom of a root cause – i.e., a root cause consisting of other Bad Habits. That I-don’t-have-enough-time excuse is a puzzling way of justifying other problems…hence it is an ‘excuse’.
“Time Management” is a misnomer. We cannot manage time. We can choose how to consume it.
We can choose to consume time by doing:
- Good Habits – thoughts and actions linked to our long-term Goals. [time is long],
- Bad Habits – thoughts and actions that are linked to short-term gratification. [time is short], and
- New Things – that are the steppingstones along the route between Bad Habits and Good Habits. [planned or unplanned consumption of baby steps in time].
And, of course, regardless of how much time they think they have or think they do not have, People Only Do 3 Things: Good Habits, Bad Habits, & New Things.
“Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.”
Benjamin Franklin
Time is a most-precious thing.
Avoid being one of those people who repeatedly waste time then complain about not having enough of it.
