With Big Data, we have access to unlimited volumes of every imaginable type of food … awaiting the arrival of creative recipes.
But, what about the “things” in the Internet of Things [IoT]?
Here’s what Oracle has to say –
“The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the internet..”
While that’s one way to describe the “things” in IoT, the reality is we human beings are the “things” in IoT.
IoT brings us gains and losses.
We gain information of value and importance to us. We lose information of value and importance to other people.
